Smith, whose work is included in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, dedicates the exhibition to raising funds for the Healing Hands Fund, which delivers medical supplies and is establishing a prosthetics clinic for pediatric amputees in Palestine. All proceeds from sales and the auction will directly support their work.

“Collective grief gives us a way to each other,” says Smith. “By building a wall of love to counter a wall of apartheid… we face the anatomy of our grief. We find Palestine at the center of our being by standing in this place.”

The exhibition transforms grief into action, inviting audiences to stand in solidarity while supporting urgent medical relief.
