I warmly welcome you my studio in West Philadelphia. My studio is filled with artwork from collections throughout my career. Along with works on paper, and larger encaustic panels, I’ll have miniature encaustic paintings available for sale.
On Sunday, my daughter Sarah will be here with a sampling of her fashion designs featuring my art in her prints. She will have t-shirts of my artwork available with 30% of sales going to WOAR Philadelphia Center Against Sexual Violence to support free services and support for people who have experienced sexual trauma. She’ll be bringing her sewing machine if you have items that need mending! Sarah Tremain is a sustainable fashion brand that's also looking to help people heal.
As with my daughter, my artwork is about healing. I’m working to bring the skills I’ve used as an artist to heal myself for over 30 years into spaces of collective healing. I’ve returned to Community College of Philadelphia to study mental health & well-being, trauma, addiction and faith & spirituality in recovery. I’d love to talk more about this with any who are interested.
